Film & Television Production - 5M18519

The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work in television studio production, crew roles, or in single camera crew roles in a managed environment in a range of television and film production contexts, or to progress to further or higher education and training. Students will acquire practical skills in both Film and Television Production, including single-camera production, non-linear film, and video editing. Through the study of Media Analysis, students gain knowledge of how the relationship between the producer, the advertiser, and the audience impact one another.

Progression to Higher Education

Graduates may gain entry to Third Level Institutes and Colleges through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme.
Graduates are eligible to apply through the CAO and/or the Higher Education Links Scheme for entry to year one of a range of higher certificate and degree programmes, at Universities, Technological Universities using their full QQI Level 5 major award.
