Creative Clay Workshop

This workshop will introduce handbuilding clay techniques and will explore shape, texture, line and form, allowing artistic exploration and decoration to final pieces. The course will be run by the experienced tutor Jill Mulligan. 

The course will run Wednesdays 7.00 to 9.00, from 29th March

Below is an outline of what to expect on the course. 

Week 1. Demonstration of techniques followed by designing a free standing textured art form inspired by art. Draw into rolled slab, known as mark marking.

Week 2. Design a tea light holder using slab wrap around technique. Inspired by abstract shapes using repeat or irregular pattern repeat.

Week 3. Decorating pieces using acrylic paints and glazing.

Week 4. Creating vessel using coil technique.
