This programme is suitable for individuals who feel they may like to pursue a career in the art of cutting gents hair. No previous experience is necessary for this course and beginners are welcome.

Course Content

• Introduction to the barbering hobby course and theory based on units such as cut men’s hair and cut facial hair
• Uniform cutting practical on the Brad mannequin head.
• Beard cutting on the Brad Mannequin head to include full beard, tapered beard line and moustache.
• Use of clippers, scissors over comb and other blending techniques used during hair cutting to create a blended and short mans hair cut on the Brad Mannequin head
• Practical session on live models (depending on Covid 19 restrictions) to create a blended hair cut and beard facial trim. Using blending techniques, texturizing, finishing, and styling techniques.
